Executive Director
Bobbie Skudrna
Bobbie Skudrna has been the Executive Director of Alden Gardens of
Waterford since November 2011. She previously served as the Executive
Director of Alden Courts of Waterford Memory Care Assisted Living for three
years before assuming her current role. She began her career in health care
15 years ago when she became a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Over the
years, she has worked in sales and marketing and came to the Alden of
Waterford campus in October 2007 as Marketing Liaison/Placement Coordinator
at Alden Gardens of Waterford Assisted Living Community. She says she enjoys
"the feeling of accomplishment I get from helping people."
Activity Director
Mary Ann Bauer
Mary Ann has been at Alden Gardens of Waterford since October 2006. With 20 years of experience working with older adults, Mary Ann knows just the right combination of programming to offer residents. Residents appreciate her creativity and full activity calendar. She, in turn, is appreciative of the fact that she has the opportunity to make a positive impact on others’ lives every day. Mary Ann has a philosophy she likes to share with those around her: "You only live once so you better have a good time while you’re here."
Senior Life Specialist
Angela Hernandez
Angie has been with Alden Gardens of Waterford since 2004. She works to ensure the environment is top-notch with active involvement from residents and family members. She is a valuable resource in helping residents form committees and implement new programs in the facility. Angie also has the important job of new resident orientation, which includes counseling residents and family members on everything from what to bring to what activities they may be interested in joining. She is instrumental in ensuring the transition is as smooth as possible. Angie is always available to answer questions from residents and their family members.
Concierge Supervisor
Ancelma Varela
Ancelma, or "Anna," as she is often called, came to Alden Gardens of Waterford in August 2004. She is easily recognizable by the big smile on her face and the warm greeting she gives everyone who enters the facility. Anna is wonderful at multi-tasking and making sure each and every resident receives the attention and service they deserve. Anna, who came to Alden Gardens of Waterford as a Certified Nursing Assistant, is a vital member of the team.
